松久 信幸 Nobuyuki Matsuhisa

Nobuyuki Matsuhisa

Born in Saitama, Japan, Nobuyuki Matsuhisa began his career training at a sushi restaurant in Shinjuku before gaining international experience in Peru, Alaska, and beyond.

In 1987, he opened his own restaurant, Matsuhisa, in Los Angeles, where he developed a distinctive culinary style blending Japanese cuisine with ingredients such as olive oil, herbs, and citrus, earning worldwide acclaim.

In 1994, he co-founded Nobu with Robert De Niro and other partners. The first Nobu Hotel opened in Las Vegas in 2013. In 2024, Matsuhisa was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays, and the documentary film Nobu was released. He continues to receive international recognition as one of the world’s most influential chefs.
